The Vietnam Coast Radio Station System offers public services related to coast communication. These services are provided free of charge to ships and seafarers, with the aim of ensuring communication at sea in all weather conditions and minimizing losses caused by natural disasters and accidents at sea.

The Vietnam Coast Radio System provides maritime mobile telecommunication services for Search and Rescue (SAR), allowing two-way communication between vessels in distress or nearby vehicles and agencies on shore via the Switchboard of the Vietnam Coast Radio System.

VISHIPEL provides AIS dredging management service for dredging vehicles and store vehicle journey data, including vehicle name, location, travel speed, stopping time, etc., from AIS equipment installed on vehicles participating in construction, transportation, and dumping of dredged material in seaport waters 25 to 40 nautical miles from shore.

Maritime mobile telecommunicatios service is a 2-way communication service that allows officers and crew members working on ships to directly communicate with their Companies, ship owners, families, and relatives on land and vice versa via the Switchboard of Vietnam Coast Radio Station System.
